HI TEAM, 

Thank  you for all  coming out and sailing with us in this years J-Fest Regatta at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, TX.  It was great meeting  and sailing with our new guys, Robbie, Jason & Victor.

This is our very 1st Regatta in our J122.  Only 2nd race ever,  with the RUM  race last Sat being the 1st time we have every sailed her. We did not get a race finished on Sat, but we did get to see how far away you have to be from a mark rounding and  how to get a kite down quick when a squall comes in. Sunday, the race committee was able to get 2 competitive races in for our ORC  class. We knew we had lost the  1st race to Bear J  121 but thought we had him in the  2nd race. It is hard to tell when sailing ORC. At the end Bear got us by 40 seconds. We are  just starting  to learn  this boat & I’m am sure we can pick up 40 seconds.
